About DigitaRealm

DigitaRealm is the creation of Todd Libby, originally from Roseville, Minnesota. Playing piano from the age of five, Todd found a passion for live performance at an early age, first playing in classical concerts and then jamming with his first rock band, LaCrosse, in high school. One day while playing keyboards in his next rock band, BOA, he started covering bass lines on the keys when the bassist didn’t show up. This led to his discovery of the bass guitar and he continued to develop a passion for the instrument while playing in the progressive rock band Sirius.

In 1990, he packed his bags and headed West, destination Los Angeles, determined in his vision of a successful music career. Here, he honed his live playing skills throughout the L.A. club circuit with bands including August, Recon, Luminous, Salt, Nomad, and currently, The Defenders.

In 2005, Todd defined a new musical focus, visualizing the concept of DigitaRealm. Determined to create dramatic, intense, instrumental music able to stand on its own, he began writing, recording, drum programming, and producing his own sound. Recording on a Pro Tools M-Box, programming with Reason, and playing on a Korg M-1 and a Fernandes 5-string bass, Todd first crafted “Sierra Highway” © 2005 (music of Asynx Planetarium 2.20), then “Edge of Infinity” © 2006, and has now completed “Higher Plane” © 2007.

Now, for the first time, these three songs are available on the CD “Edge of Infinity“. Enter the world of possibilities. Visualize, hold fast to your dreams, and believe.
